Dear Friends,

The UCCA was approached by Mr. David Kirk from the Atlantic Council of
the United States.  He is recruiting an American delegation of Young
Professionals and students (35 years and younger) to attend this
year’s Atlantic Treaty Association event, which will take place in
Ukraine, from October 7-10.

The event will include a day of Young Atlantic Treaty Association
programming, which will be an excellent opportunity to network with
young professionals and rising leaders from across Europe.  It will
also include access to the official ATA programming, which will
feature President Yushenchko and several prominent NATO and European
policy figures.  This year’s event will include discussion of NATO’s
new strategic concept, the Future of NATO involvement in Afghanistan,
NATO enlargement, and Energy and Financial security in the Black Sea
area.

For those interested in attending attached is a draft agenda and
application form, for your review.  Please keep that the Atlantic
Council will not cover your travel and lodging expenses, these costs
must be paid by the applicant.
